Mumbai Terror

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and his wife, Rivka, who were among more than 150 killed in Wednesday’s senseless attacks. Rabbi Holtzberg, 29, was born in Israel and moved to Brooklyn, New York, when he was nine; Rivka Holtzberg, 28, was a native of Afula, Israel, according to CNN. In 2003, the Holtzbergs moved to Mumbai to run the local Chabad House. The motive behind the attacks in Mumbai remains unclear, but should remind each and every one of us that terrorism is very real and Jews are still targeted around the world. I think a lot of people (and counter-terrorism) folks are still trying to understand how this could have happened right under India’s nose and in the financial capital. Another question is why? Why was the Chabad House targeted along with attacks on movie theaters, restaurants and hotels? Time will tell. And those responsible will be brought to justice. This is a very sad day for the global Jewish community. Today in amazingly pointless Hitler news
