I saw an ad for a Republican debate happening on CNN tonight but the graphics confused me a bit. I couldn’t tell if it was
Romney and McCain butt heads
or
Romney and McCain: buttheads

The Israelity tour begins in Seattle next week. This should be an awesome show, showcasing some top notch acts from Israel. Some information from the promoter is below:
Our tour will feature performances by Subliminal, Israel’s #1 selling rap artist, and members of the T.A.C.T. Family (kind of like Subliminal’s Wu-Tang Clan), as well as reggae-funk band Coolooloosh and singer-songwriter Michelle Citrin, a.k.a. Rosh Hashanah Girl or “the lil’ grrl with a big sound,” as she’s known. The shows are hosted by comic Mo Mandel, a Bay Area resident and Birthright alumnus who was recently seen on Comedy Central’s “Open Mic Fight.”
The big concert kicks off at the Nectar Lounge on Thursday, February 7th. Doors open at 8 p.m., must be at least 18 to enter. Tickets are $20 at the door, or you can pay $15 by sending an RSVP here. See you there!

This came into my inbox today. Discuss amongst yourselves.
To The Editor:
Mazel Tov to the Muslims of Gaza.
The Muslims of Gaza have finally decided to throw off the shackles of Hamas and Fatah and are leaving the Hell hole called Gaza and go home to Egypt.
They can prosper in the Sinai, as the Jews did before giving that land to Egypt in exchange for a FALSE PEACE at Camp David.
We applaud their courage, in the face of international pressure to live in Israel, to stop this insanity and say to the world: “We have the right to return to our Homelands”
We encourage all Muslims living under the oppression of Hamas and Fatah in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, as well as THE REST OF ISRAEL, to GO HOME to Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria and to reclaim their homelands and reestablish their own government and begin to prosper. The way we all know they are so capable of doing.
Sincerely,
Hillel Bluestein

We’ve been playing a little game in the office this morning — who would Obama pick as a running mate if he were to get the nomination? Here are thoughts:
It would probably have to be a white guy to be palatable, and probably someone from a larger state to get those votes.
Obama-Edwards - Don’t think so. Even though Edwards dropped out this morning, he’s hedging his bets. But his political career’s done. Hillary Clinton would maybe consider him, though.
Obama-Biden - could actually be workable. Biden’s got support in the east and considerable experience. Think of him as Dick Cheney’s non-evil twin, perhaps.
Obama-Dodd - another possibility, but imagine negotiations with Iran: The Obama-Dodd Ahmedinejad talks? Rush Limpbaugh and Sean Hannity would have a field day with that one.
Obama-Oprah - Well….
Obama-Clinton - We thought, um, Bill, not Hillary.
Obama-Jackson - That’s Jesse “Hymie” Jackson. Probably not.
Obama-Lieberman - Oh, dang, too late. John McCain’s already got him.
Obama-Powell - Imagine if we had both parties’ candidates reach across the aisle for their running mates. At least the commander-in-chief would have advisors with real military experience in his inner circle.
Obama-Corzine - He’d get a heck of a lot of votes from New Jersey if their governor joined the ticket - not sure if it would help if the state already goes for Obama, though.
Obama-Richardson - New Mexico’s a pretty small state, but if the ticket actually acknowledged the West that could be huge in drawing support from California and Arizona, McCain’s home state.
Obama-Boxer - Okay, so she’s not a white male, but again could be an interesting ticket.
Obama-Schwarzenegger - It would be a powahouse!
Got any ideas on Clinton? More for Obama? Drop them in the comments!
